Mark your calendars, January 3rd is International Mind-Body Wellness Day!

It's time to mark your calendars for January 3rd as it's the International Mind-Body Wellness Day! The purpose of this day is to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between the mind and body.

January is usually known to be the month of "reset" for most people. After the rush of the holidays, it can become a bit overwhelming. This is why the start of the year is the perfect time to recharge and tune into our emotional and physical needs.

International Mind-Body Wellness Day was created for this purpose, to learn more about the mind-body connection and focus on maintaining a healthy balance between them.

4 Ways to Observe International Mind-Body and Wellness Day

1  Write in a Journal

It is suggested to write in a journal every day.

Journaling has many benefits including but not limited to:   Managing anxiety, reducing stress, coping with depression, helping you prioritize problems, fears, and concerns

2. Practice Yoga

Yoga is an ancient practice that unites the body and mind. Yoga has some of the same benefits as journaling. It reduces stress, lowers heart rate, improves posture, and much more.

3. Meditate

Take some time to sit in stillness and be mindful of your breath. Meditation allows us to connect to our inner selves and observe our thoughts without judgment.

4. Go for a Walk

Fresh air and movement can do wonders for the mind and body. Take a walk in nature or around your neighborhood to appreciate the beauty of the world around you.
